The Chamber’s main goal for 2018 is to help our small businesses recover from the effects of hurricane Harvey. Small businesses need to be nurtured and protected. Small business is the back bone of our economy and they deserve the support of large business and the community. Our Chamber reminds the metropolitan area of that every day. As President and CEO of the Houston Metropolitan Chamber, I am proud that our Chamber is the advocate for small business. We hear it all the time, that Small Business is the backbone of economy. Just about every politician campaign reminds us of that during elections.
According to studies, there were 27.9 million small businesses registered in the United States, compared to just 18,500 companies of 500 employees or more.
Membership investment in the Houston Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is based on number of employees.
Membership investments are on a yearly basis, and renewed on the anniversary date. Membership is paid in advance, and can be paid by check, cash or credit card.
The Houston Metropolitan Chamber is a 501 (c) 6 non-profit organization. Dues are deductible as a regular business expense.
