Anisse Parker to Address the Houston Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce

If you are in a Chamber of Commerce member, you know how important diversity and inclusion are for the fundamental welfare of the citizens of our city and of course the economy. Annise Parker will address those issues in an upcoming Houston Metropolitan Chamber Business Forum Event. Annise Parker, former Houston City Council Member, City Controller and former Mayor of Houston is the only person in Houston history to have held all three offices. She is the first openly LGBTQ Mayor of a major American City. In 2010 Time magazine named Mayor Parker one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Ms. Parker is currently the President and CEO of the Victory Fund and Victory Institute. Prior to joining Victory Fund and Victory Institute, she was Senior Vice-President and Chief Strategy Officer of Baker Ripley, a community development non-profit. The Victory Fund was established in 1991 by LGBTQ activist who recognized the success of Emily’s List in attracting attention and support for women candidates for public office. Location and date of event to be announced.
