06 Jul Hello from Carol Young
A few months back, Carol Young was our featured speaker at the HMC Senior Services Alliance. The Alliance is dedicated to creating a trusted network of referrals for the community from our HMC Health Care Members. The members in the Alliance meet monthly to network, enjoy lunch together and educate themselves on a variety of topics pertaining to health and wellness for primarily the 55+ population. Carol Young, an artist, photographer, pilot, world traveler and senior, spoke to the Alliance on her approach to aging. She passed on tips on maintaining a passion for life, developing your talents at any age, taking risks, health and wellness and more. She shared her life and experiences as well as her stunning art and photography. She is checking back in with us sending this message.
In June I traveled with my grandson, Landon. We visited a Dude Ranch for one night then, went by helicopter down into the Grand Canyon. We went white water rafting down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. It was an amazing trip. This was a vacation with my grandson and not a photographic trip. So, my focus was on having a good time rather than on photography.
I will be traveling to Iceland in late July/August. This will be a photograph trip, and I anticipate returning with many fantastic landscape photographs to add to my offerings. They will be available in various sizes and printing options. In the Fall I have several shows already lined up, including First Saturday Art Markets and Arts in Bloom. Hope to see you at one of these upcoming events.
